Blind Date with a Book

So during my browsing on Etsy I noticed a listing...Blind Date with a Book. A mystery book beautifully wrapped and decorated in craft paper. When I say these were beautiful...they were dressed up in old book pages, letters, book marks...some of them even included a sachet of tea or a crystal. Let me explain. You choose your book genre (or ask to be surprised) and the seller will send you the surprise book. They are usually gently used which makes me love them even more.

I get in the habit of always choosing a psychological thriller again and again. Why not have someone choose a book for me? I immediately ordered 5 books (naturally).

The first beautifully wrapped book to arrive was a WWII historical fiction and happened to be an old library book. I had never heard of the author so I was happy to dive in!

The second arrival was a paranormal romance novel. I was thinking it would be a young adult book, perhaps about teen falling in love with a ghost. How cute would that be? I was surprised when it turned out to be erotica. You live and learn.

I also chose a classic, adult fiction, and a book about a struggle. Each one was beautiful in their own unique way and I loved reading them and adding them to my collection.

I would recommend Blind Date with a Book to anyone who loves surprises and getting lost in the magical journey of a story!
